I heard about Lyoness from a friend back in 2011 or 2012 when I was in University in London, UK. He told me that his friend told him about this programme that you sign up for and get cash back at certain retailer. It sounded great, especially for a student with limited resources, so I have joined. Soon i have received an email saying that I have to choose a referee or I will be given one. This is the first time something sounded wrong. The person contacts me and starts telling me that we have to meet so that he will tell me more about the business side. Just like that, he didn't know me, he didn't know what I do but he was certain that I had to hear about. Nevertheless I refused and ignored it completely.

A few years later, in 2015, I was approached by a friend of mine from my workplace in Romania who told me that I have to hear about a great opportunity. I have gone to the meeting where I have met with my friend and this other guy who was fully dressed in Lyoness. His t shirt, phone case, watch, pen, everything was Lyoness. He starts talking for about 1.5 hours about hard work, business men. He told me that I have to be like Warren Buffet and work hard. I kept telling him to go the point but it was like he was reciting a poem.

VERY IMPORTANT FROM HERE!!!

He finally gets to the point and with the help of a powerpoint presentation he starts explaining Lyoness. Obviously he starts with the parts that sound good. He tells that I can shop and get money and if I bring someone, I will get a bit more and if I know any SMEs I would get a lot more. When I hear about the SMEs part I think to myself that I know a lot of SMEs and if I would be like salesman to bring this "great" loyalty programme to them, it would have some pottential. How wrong have I been. I tell the guy that I am exited about it and that I know a lot SMEs that would go for it if I present it to them and he tells me that I shouldn't tell anyone about it without a professional, like him.

We continue. He starts explaining how it works, he tells me that their network is huge in 50 countries or so with millions of users, etc. It sounds great even for the most skeptical people. He then tells me a few well known places from Bucharest where I could use the system amongst which the gas stations network MOL(large in Eastern Europe, headquarters in Hungary) which I regularly use. I tell him that I am interested so I ask him to tell me more. He then says that once I join, I have to buy these vouchers from Lyoness, and go to their Headquarters and pick them up myself because they don't post. So, in order to get the cashback, I have to buy the voucher, spend time to go and get it and then go to the gas station and pay with said vouchers. remember all these for a mere 1% cashback. this doesn't sound great, does it? I ask him if this is how it all works and he answers that they also have partners where I can use the card they provide with Master Card but they are not many and most are not well known.

He then goes on to the important stuff. He tells me that if I'm just a shopper, like his grandma (actual words), then the presentation is done and he will give me the membership and that's it, but if I want to be like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet (again, actual words) I have to work hard. He started telling me about the great Lyconet as he reffered to it.

He said that this is the business part of Lyoness, for people who want to work hard. He only tells me that I have to pay between 300 to 3000Euros if I wanted to join and for these money I would get access some online account with videos and financial tools for my "business" (remember, Lyconet people are businessmen) and my money's worth in points or something like that. So I tell him, ok now, I pay 3000Euros, what then.

He tells me that I definitely have 100 people in my adress book that I can call and invite to a meeting. I then tell him that I do have 100 people but I do not want to tell them to join the programme, I told him that I can bring businesses into the programme. This is where it was all conclusive to me: he told me that if I want to be rich in the network I have to forget about free members and also he told me that businesses don't bring money for Lyconet members.

!!!!! He told me that only other PAID members would expand my "Lyconet business". He drew a scheme with myself, bringing new paid members, who in turn need to bring new paid members and so on and that I would go up in rank when the unit matures and basically every person in my network is on the same level as me. I follow to ask him: "So wait, this isn't about the loyalty programme at all. This is about asking other people to pay to join." He answers: "Thats the beauty of it. We do not sell anything, you cannot lose". I then tell him: "I bring new paid members who bring new paid members. Romania's population is only 19 million of which only like 8 million are working people who would be fit for the business and if all the willing people join and pay the 3000Euros who will the last people bring? Won't there be a point where the last to join would have absolutely no chance to make money?". He answers that it will not happen and there will always be more people.

He really believed that it is not a pyramid scheme. He couldn't see the issue with having to bring more people. He kept going on and on how I have to work hard to keep my level every year by bringing the same ammount of people like last year and so on. It is all that this is about. Work hard to fool your friends into giving money to this and the people who are drawn into the scheme are so close to it that they cannot see it. I have read other reviews and there are always Lyconet members who are just rudely answering that us who complain do not know what we are talking about but never bring any evidence. As I was speaking to this person, certain that i would never join this BS, I ask him if this is all he does for a living. He say that he also works somewhere and this is just part time. I follow and ask him about his network and how much money he makes (previously telling me that he does this Lyoness thing since 2007) and tells me that he has a few thousands in his network. So I tell him: "Dude, you are doing this professionally for 8 yearsand you have thousands in your network, shouldn't you be loaded?". He arrogantly answers: "this is long term investment, you are like most people who want to make money fast". He said that he kept reinvesting the money in Lyoness and new markets and that why he didn't take out his money. 8 years for this guy and he has nothing to show for. Really. He said that if he takes the money out he loses his maturing units. For F***s sakes. People in Lyoness/Lyconet please, I am begging you, post an account statement proving that you are actually making money from this because this is outrageos. It screams pyramid scheme all day and night. All I can see from people is that they have to pay money to get money and when its time to get the money, they have to pay some more money to get those money and so on. Do you follow, because I can't. They fool people with Lyoness which doesn't sound bad and then they fully fool them with Lyconet.

Please prove my expierence wrong. Please

If you have Booked Units in your Personal Accounting Programs, get a Lyconet Marketer to explain to you how you can get your AC1 to AC 5 Units to mature and get paid. Best of luck! You will very quickly realise that you have been SCAMMED.

YIKES!!!Doing any form of business where Chris Thomson is concerned will cost you dearly.Even worse with Freidlโ€™s Lyoness Ponzi scam!

Same SCAM, Different NAME (now โ€˜myWorld Internationalโ€™) to hide from the REGULATORS!

The only way for make money in Lyoness/ Cashback World/ now called โ€˜myWorldโ€™ is to join as an independent LYCONET MARKETER and SCAM your family and friends into buying โ€˜Booked Accounting Unitsโ€™ in the Balance and CLOUD Programs and then get them each to SCAM their family and friends to do the same and on and on it goes. Itโ€™s been judged a PYRAMID Scheme in many EU countryโ€™s.DONT SCAM YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO MAKE MONEY!!

The Lyoness Pyramid / Ponzi Schene in London is operated by known fraudster Chris Thomson.Thomson is well known for stealing down payment investments made to Lyoness and should be thrown in prison!

Get the REGULATORS to STOP โ€˜LYCONETโ€™ and Lyoness/ Cashback World/ myWorld will die very quickly, as over 95% of its income is generated by its LYCONET MARKETERS whose primary role is to recruit SUCKER investors into its Balance and Cloud Programs, judged as PYRAMID Schemes.Contact your REGULATOR today and tell your horror story if you have been SCAMMED!!

There have been numerous "fake partnerships" discovered by Lyoness (now Cashback World), including the "Mastercard lie". Now, the world's largest online marketplace eBay turns out to be a fake. Through small backdoors (affiliate programs), Lyoness sneaks into well-known companies in order to market them as "direct, binding business partners" to its members so that they invest in "toothless clouds".More information at: http://benecker.com/category/lyoness/Open in Chrome for translation.

The only way anything will happen is if everyone starts writing letters to their industry watchdogs. If you live in Australia complain to the ACCC.Complain, contact TV, tell the world.

The word is getting out slowly... together we are strong!

Guest

If you feel you have been SCAMMED by Lyoness Australia or more recently by Cashback World or by a LYCONET MARKETER, itโ€™s time to tell your horror story to the ACCC at: https://www.accc.gov.au/contact-us/contact-the-accc/report-a-consumer-issue

DEFINITION OF STUPID - Knowing the Truth. - Seeing the Truth. - But still believing the LIES!!Are you a Lyconet Marketer??

Guest

A Key Lyconet Leader named Chris encouraged me recently to invest $15,000 into a CLOUD BALANCE PROGRAM with a projected ROI of 100% in 2 years and I didnโ€™t have to recruit others.Iโ€™m now told these so-called CLOUDS are legally proven PYRAMID Schemes and I may not get a ROI for over 10 years, if ever!I have requested that my $15,000 be returned to me, but Chris and Lyoness/ Lyconet/ Cashback World will not return my calls.I suggest that you STAY WELL AWAY from these SCAMMERS!

Unfortunately it sounds like one over-zealous sales pitch by your friend. This is a shopping company and ultimately, nothing happens unless shopping happens.

Here it is... you walk into your local coffee shop, restaurant or clothing store and instead of them placing stamps on a paper slip "10th item free" etc, they are now handing you a professional membership card that offers you Cashback and Shopping Points, one that you can use in 47 countries, plus online shopping etc - you are happy, you may use your shopping points to get a free appetizer at your favourite restaurant or 30% off some work on your car etc - you are happy.

However, when a your community has no shops yet, you "possibly" will buy something online or you may just forget about it. Lyoness was built on a vision, 1 billion customers, 1 million merchants. As a marketer you get paid to grow the community (shoppers, merchants and marketers), however the greatest leverage to growth is in bringing on other business builders and/or merchants.

Considering this - as Lyconet business builder, you shop... even if there aren't convenient shops, you are automatically a much more dedicated shopper. There is greater value in the shopping for us, we are paid as a business person. The compensation plan for business builders rewards us for shopping.

Thus, through the on-boarding of other marketers, there is greater dedication to shopping, local merchants start to come on-board, and they in-turn sign up their customers. The merchants form a community and share their customer base with other Lyoness merchants for the benefit of all. Win win. Then the shopper growth happens organically, as they can conveniently use their membership for Cashback.

As we are still in the growth mode is about building the "sales team" who shops.

Yes, go ahead and sign up free shoppers, but they typically don't bother shopping until it's super convenient for them. That is the only reason that there isn't much value in signing up free shoppers - it's not convenient yet.

Ways to get paid have been getting easier. I get income every month.

It is just as the system was designed to do, and no I don't have a huge team.

The system does work, it just needed time to grow and generate sales volume. It's not a free ride though.
